Street Art, Heritage, and the Francophone World
My 24-day artistic residency in Laos in March 2025 was defined by cultural exchange and collaboration with the Francophone community. These projects allowed me to embed my art within educational and diplomatic settings, fostering a dialogue between urban culture and institutions.
Luang Prabang: Between Education and Tribute
Luang Prabang Francophone School: The "Bad Boy Cat" I had the honor of being invited to paint at the Luang Prabang Francophone School, where I created a stencil piece featuring a "Bad Boy Cat." This playful, contemporary work injects a dose of urban energy and a touch of the unconventional into the educational environment, sparking interest and conversation among the students.
French Institute, Luang Prabang: Portrait of Alix Aymé At the French Institut, I paid tribute to the French artist Alix Aymé (1894–1989), who lived and painted in Indochina. This portrait honors her legacy and highlights the strong historical and artistic bond between France and Laos, using the stencil technique to reinterpret a classic figure.
Vientiane: Art, Heritage, and Local Engagement
Lycée Français of Vientiane: Second Portrait of Alix Aymé. The portrait of Alix Aymé was also created at the Lycée Français de Vientiane, establishing a thematic and visual link between the two Francophone educational hubs in Laos.
French Institute of Vientiane: Musical Heritage Days. My most significant project took place at the Institut Français de Vientiane during the Musical Heritage Days. There, I created a mural depicting a dancing couple in motion. The artwork was executed in the presence of the Ambassador, highlighting the official recognition of my work and its inclusion in major cultural events. The piece celebrated dance and music as living heritage.
Outreach and Exposure in Trendy Social Spots. Beyond institutional projects, I actively sought to integrate my work into the capital's social and commercial scene. I showcased my creations at several popular venues including The Block (a trendy Vientiane bar), Kicks Café, and Chill Day. This outreach initiative aims to bring urban art into everyday spaces, fostering a direct connection with both the local community and expatriates.
This trip provided an exceptional opportunity to showcase my art within both institutional and local settings, enriching my professional journey through diplomatic and educational collaborations in the heart of Southeast Asia.
Luang Prabang Francophone School
In March 2025, I had the pleasure of meeting students from the Luang Prabang Francophone School, aged 4 to 17. During the visit, I presented my artistic work and answered their many questions. The session concluded with the creation of a painting depicting a "bad boy" style cat, inspired by their imaginations and our conversation.
French Institute of Luang Prabang
In March 2025, I had the honor of creating a painting at the French Institute of Luang Prabang. It is a portrait of Alix Aymé, a French artist who contributed to the decoration of the reception hall at the National Museum of Luang Prabang.

French Institute of Vientiane
I had the honor of painting during the Musical Heritage Day event organized at the French Institute of Vientiane, in the presence of the Ambassador. For this performance, I chose to depict a couple of traditional Lao dancers. Throughout the evening, various groups of musicians and dancers took the stage, creating a lively and inspiring atmosphere around my artwork.

As part of a project led by our primary school educational advisor, I created a stencil portrait of Alix Aymé on a wall at Thadeua 2.
