Mouna Mekale – Director of Moonn'Art

Mekale is an Abidjan native with a passion for African culture. She contributes to the development of her

city through socio-educational initiatives. For several years, Mouna Mekale has been helping street children, orphans, and impoverished families through dance, theater, and more.

She is part of an all-child performance troupe based in the Abobo district of Abidjan. Through her brand, Moonn'Art, she gives Africa a voice.

Drigbe Djo – Founding President of the NGO OJSP

Drigbe Djo is a 32-year-old Ivorian committed to environmental causes in Côte d'Ivoire. Passionate about the environment, nature, and its many facets, he founded the NGO OJSP in 2008. A mechanic by training, he is curious, open-minded, and deeply committed to respecting both living things and people. Drigbe raises public awareness about environmental respect by organizing cleanup drives in working-class neighborhoods of Abidjan, such as Adjamé and Abobo.

For over eight years, he has worked tirelessly to inform and raise awareness, striving to ensure that tomorrow is better than today. He loves his country, and it shows the moment you meet him.

Djiguene & Goor Project

In collaboration with several cultural organizations in West Africa, I paid tribute to six women and six men through the creation of permanent murals. I organized an artistic tour that ran from September 8 to November 10, 2016. This project was dedicated to Africans—both women and men—who inspire and encourage the younger generation. With the Djiguene & Goor project, I wanted to showcase the faces of individuals who have made positive contributions to society. In each city, one woman and one man were honored. The individuals selected were environmentalists and people working with determination and selflessness to improve living conditions or foster their country's development.
